Around the world we shall be celebrating this blessed day without our loved ones by our side. Today was a hard day knowing that Dad and a few other family members wont be around. No matter how many times we hurt or fell in the past few years. Just remember each time you got up you became stronger. Ramadan for me and a few others will be different. I lost my father and uncle and a close brother lost his mother only a few days a part. The blessed month of Ramadan will help us get closer to our faith and open new spiritual, physical and mental health doors. No matter who you are, where you are... I pray that we are all blessed with good health, happiness and success. 𝐒𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧? Ramadan is the holy month where muslims observe fasting between sunrise to sunset for a month.⁣ ⁣ This is also the month where the holy scripture The Quran was sent to Earth by Allah (God) to the messenger Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him.⁣ ⠀⁣ 2021 just like 2020 will be a different challenge for many muslims. Due to Covid19 lockdowns, muslims will not be able to attend mosques or social gatherings where they pray and share blessings.⁣ ⠀⁣ At the end of Ramadan we celebrate Eid where muslims all across the globe donate to charities and families get together to enjoy food.⁣ ⁣ Why not give fasting a try? ⁣⁣ So I've tested positive with covid.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ For those who know me will know that not only do i run a creative photography and film business but I also work in a hospital. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The past few days what I though might be a simple cough and cold turned out to be the covid virus.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ It started with a sore throat, followed by a dull pain in chest with a cough leading to me throwing up and eyes feeling like I just touched them with spice.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I did two home tests which resulted positive and then I booked for a proper test at a Covid19 approved test centre.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ A few hours later it was confirmed I was positive.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Currently my ribs are hurting, my neck and shoulders are so tight that they hurt. The back of my head hurts and im sensitive to light.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So now I am isolating myself away from family and everyone for 10 days and resting as much as I can in my room.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Yes it is not easy, yes i want to spend time with loved ones and do the things I love.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ But it is what it is and we have to not be selfish and look after ourself so we can look after others.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I won't lie mentally i've been struggling especially since i'm trying to rebuild everything after losing my father. ⁣⁣ Struggling to create financial security and loosing work and projects due to covid has been tough.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ But like anything in life, everything is a test and I have faith that Allah (God), or whomever you believe in will give you the energy and the blessings to keep strong.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ remember stay focused, get yourself better and things will fall into place.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ As I type this i feel my chest burning and breathing hurts. so take it serious and look after yourself.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Oh I did eat a samosa to see if I still have sense of taste and wohooo yes i've not lost sense of taste yet lol.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I pray that no matter what we go through in life.
